Meet Emily

Hi, I’m Emily—a wife, mom to three wild and wonderful boys, writer, and Registered Dietitian (RD). Life is busy (and loud!) in our home, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Here’s what you need to know about me:

  • Meals I make on repeat: one-pan enchilada skillet, Buddha bowls loaded with roasted veggies, homemade macaroni and cheese, chili

  • I never thought I was anxious until I had kids. Being a mom is the biggest lesson in practicing patience and being ok with imperfection I’ve ever experienced!

  • I’m a Buckeye! Born and raised in Ohio and studied nutrition at Ohio State - Go Bucks!

  • I’ve always been a reader, though now I’m lucky if I can get in a couple pages a day. Everything from nonfiction to Harry Potter to Kristin Hannah, my taste is varied.

  • My playlist is always a mix of kid’s music, 90s country, 2000s pop jams, and the occasional Taylor Swift (Reputation is my era of choice)

When I met my husband, I told him I was a cool dietitian and I stand by that! I believe food is meant to be enjoyed and I want you to experience that freedom too!

Food is meant to be enjoyed

If you don’t love what you’re eating, it’s gonna be hard to keep eating it. There is plenty of room in a healthy diet for decadent foods, and I firmly believe healthy food can be delicious. If you don’t believe me, you just haven’t found your flavors yet!

There is no room for shame

It can be intimidating to start working on yourself. Look anywhere online and you can find someone saying you’re doing it wrong. Don’t listen to them! You’re learning and changing and that takes guts! Expect there to be some missteps and learn to adapt when they happen.

You can absolutely do this! You get to choose your own path and focus on what’s most important to you. I’ll be there to guide and encourage you all along the way!
